I am originally from a small town in the North West of England and have been travelling the globe since 2005. I moved to New Zealand in 2012 and have not wanted to be anywhere else since – even though it is hard to be away from all the family.

I was brought up with the attitude of do not buy anything you can not afford and to try and fix what ever may be broken. I am so grateful to my parents for giving me these foundations from a young age and hope to pass these onto Ava, especially with how the world is today.

I like to create, dream, upcycle and am keen to learn more about gardening and permaculture. I also have the aim to have our household waste free eventually!

I like low sugar diets with no artificial ingredients, with having suffered with eczema throughout my life it is key to have a good balanced diet in our family and also natural products within our household.

I am happiest when I’m getting my hands dirty, listening to music, drinking wine and twirling my poi.
